I'm Charles (I go by smartgoo online). This is my small personal blog. Here you'll find my writing, things I'm working on, and links to projects.

I'm a private person, but, there's just something about sharing work in public:

• It's a forcing function for better thinking (and actually finishing work)
• Contributing back to the public collective human experience feels right

My Current Projects

Coffee Enthused — a weekly newsletter for home coffee enthusiasts, covering gear, brewing methods, roaster spotlights, and coffee news. An experiment in letting AI run the newsletter end-to-end, with me acting only as the avid-coffee-drinker feedback loop.

Kaspalytics — analytics for the Kaspa network.
Kaspa Python SDK — Python bindings to rusty-kaspa, under the Kaspanet org.

GitHub — code and open-source work.

Writing

Two forms of writing live on this site:

• Essays — longer-form pieces.
• Brain Dumps — shorter, less-polished thoughts. Usually covering wide ranges of topics in bullet format.
